EXPERIENCE

Brown Consulting Engineers is a Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, and Land Planning Firm.  Founded in 2003 by Marc Brown PE, PLS, Mr. Brown has 30 years of experience in Land Surveying and Civil Engineering with over 20 years in the Southern Utah, Washington, Iron, Mohave and Clark County areas.

Brown Consulting Engineers has a strong background in Land Planning and Municipal Planning.  Brown Consulting Engineers has extensive experience relevant to providing City Engineering services.  Having worked in a City Engineer capacity in Utah, Arizona, Nevada, we are intimately familiar with the challenges and issues involved in dealing with the public and with the various City, State and Federal agencies.  Mr. Brown has completed over $6 million of Special Improvement District projects for Cedar City Corporation, a $5 million Special Improvement District for Scenic, Arizona and several Special Improvement Districts for the City of St. George.  Private Developments include Entrada at Snow Canyon, Executive Plaza, Sunset Plaza, the Southgate Area in St. George, and Panguitch Lake Resort.

Steve Kamlowsky has over 15 years of experience in civil engineering and land surveying and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Utah and Nevada.  Steve is responsible for the general strategy and direction of the company and oversees all aspects of the business.  Steve has a wide range of experience from land development to municipal utility designs and brings a great wealth of knowledge to the company.  Steve is also a licensed drone pilot and directs a team capable of providing high-quality aerial imagery maps as well as providing aerial inspections and quantity measurements.

Mr. Brown has over 30 years experience in civil engineering, land planning, land surveying and contract administration.  He has been responsible for the design, feasibility and construction of many street and highway projects.  Projects include many large special improvement districts.  He is responsible for the executing of work, meeting deadlines, and maximizing the efficiency of the project teams. Current and ongoing projects include Federal Highway and UDOT projects in Utah and Nevada, and feasibility and mapping for Western Mining 10-mile pipeline project at Blackrock, Arizona.  Recent projects include water and wastewater treatment and disposal design for Panguitch Lake Resort, the Scenic Improvement District Street and Bridge Project with 10 miles of county roads and a reinforced concrete bridge across the Virgin River and Federal Highways projects in the Grand Canyon North Rim, Las Vegas Wash, Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge and Callville Bay Road at Lake Mead.  St. George area projects include Washington Fields Road Right of Way Mapping, and design and construction of Riverside Drive, and Snow Canyon Parkway.  Mr. Brown is experienced on federal, state and local highway projects.  He works well with all approving agencies in moving projects along through design and into the construction phase.  Mr. Brown is a P.E. and P.L.S. and is licensed in Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada.

Kay Campbell, PLS

Kay Campbell, PLS

Mr. Campbell has over 18 years Land Surveying experience in Washington County and is licensed in Utah as a professional land surveyor.  He has performed numerous surveys, including ALTA surveys, rights of way, boundary, and construction surveys. Mr. Campbell has advanced training utilizing global positioning systems, geographical information systems and other related disciplines. He has worked as a project team leader in the creation and mapping of various base maps for G.I.S. projects subdivision design and layout and boundary surveys.  Mr. Campbell currently serves as Survey Department Manager.
